Trimble is the market leader in high-performance embedded GPS navigation receivers for aviation applications. The Trimble receivers are deeply embedded in inertial navigation subsystems. The Hardware Development Engineer manages circuit card and programmable logic life cycle Development, implementation, test, and verification activities for high-performance aviation GPS receivers, comprising digital, RF, power, and mechanical subsystems of circuit card-level receivers. You will support products from initial development to end of life, including conceptualization, proposals, development validation, new product introduction, engineering changes, sustaining engineering, manufacturing problem resolution, and quality issues. This will involve: Development, implementation, and testing of digital, analog, and RF circuit card assemblies, programmable logic devices, and test fixtures, meeting rigorous functional, performance, and reliability requirements Manage requirements, development specification documentation, interface control documents, schematic capture, layout, board bringup and test, and associated activities Specify parts, analyze performance and reliability, and manage the assembly lifecycle Driving activities for configuration control, production transition, and support, including Agile database parts and BOM management. Sustaining activities for legacy developments and products, including root cause analysis and corrective action Working with the certification, CM, and QA leads, to ensure that the deliverable system meets the Development assurance, certification, and quality standards.
