About The Position

Hardware Development Engineer - Electrical (Reedsville, PA) As a Hardware Development Engineer, you will be sustaining post launch PCBAs and electrical components for ultrasound products. You will work with a cross functional team of electrical, mechanical, system, manufacturing, and service engineers to support existing hardware throughout the product lifecycle. This role involves troubleshooting field issues, implementing design changes, supporting manufacturing, and ensuring product reliability. Your role: Post-Launch and Leadership Responsibilities Provide post-launch support for printed circuit board assemblies (PCBA) and electrical components. Lead complex technical projects and mentor junior engineers and technicians. Lifecycle and Sustaining Engineering Support electromechanical systems throughout production and after-market phases, including root cause analysis and design solution development. Assist in verification and validation (V&V) activities to ensure successful implementation. Design and Documentation Create and update PCBA design packages and electrical specifications, including schematics, BOMs, and test procedures. Review and approve designs for release to contract manufacturers. Component and Performance Management Manage component obsolescence and qualify alternate parts through testing and verification. Monitor product performance metrics and identify opportunities for improvement. Cross-Functional Collaboration and Continuous Improvement Work with cross-functional teams to implement corrective actions and design enhancements. Contribute to VAVE, sustaining engineering, and supplier transfer projects, and participate in design reviews to promote best practices.

Requirements

  • You bring at least 3 years of experience in electrical or electronics engineering, contributing as an individual contributor in hardware development projects.
  • You have strong skills in electrical design principles, circuit fundamentals, analog/mixed-signal and digital designs, with bonus experience in design reliability techniques such as DFSS, Risk Analysis, DFMEA, and DFM.
  • You hold a BS degree in Electrical or Electronics Engineering or an equivalent qualification.
  • You must be able to successfully perform the following minimum Physical, Cognitive and Environmental job requirements with or without accommodation for this position.
  • You are familiar with configuration management tools (e.g., eMatrix, Windchill, SAP, Agile), proficient in electrical CAD tools (e.g., DxDesigner, Cadence, Altium).
  • You must be able to successfully perform the following minimum Physical, Cognitive and Environmental job requirements with or without accommodation for this position and be open to traveling domestically and internationally up to 20% of the time.
  • You demonstrate excellent communication, technical writing, and collaboration skills that support cross-functional teamwork and effective documentation.
