About The Position
Earn £13.45 per hour (salary £26,300 per year) and access to great benefits including Health cash plan Permanent, full time (37.5 hpw), working Monday-Friday 9am-5pm Hartlepool We can’t offer CoS for this role Home, a place where you belong We have a brilliant opportunity to join our fantastic Hartlepool Move on team. We are the multi skilled hands-on practical support that helps our colleagues deliver services to our customers. We work with customers who have low to medium housing needs, across a mix of properties and grounds. As our handy person, you’ll spend much of your time working across different properties.
Requirements
- A team player with a can-do attitude and enthusiasm.
- General maintenance know-how, a bit of carpentry, basic plumbing and confidence with a paintbrush or broom
- Comfortable working and communicating with people from all walks of life
- Ability to use technology for submitting receipts and keeping a record of jobs completed.
- To get from A to B, you’ll need a vehicle insured for business purposes. The great news is that we’ll pay your mileage!
Responsibilities
- Perform minor or emergency repairs, decorating and cleaning in properties and communal areas.
- Handle tasks like hanging curtain poles, moving furniture, touching up paint, changing washers, unblocking sinks, mowing lawns and clearing grounds.
- Carry out regular fire safety checks.
- Work with colleagues, contractors and customers.
- Liaise with Customer Service Centre and contractors to report and follow up on repairs outside your remit.
