About The Position
Winn Companies is looking for a Handyman to join our team at Carol Gardens, a 313-unit affordable housing community in Bronx NY. In this role you will assist the maintenance team in ensuring our properties are clean, functional, and inviting. Please note that this position offers a pay range of $19.60 to $20.60 per hour additionally, this a Union position, which will include union (32BJ) benefits and compensations. Requirements
- Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience.
- General custodial skills as evidence by experience in property maintenance or janitorial work.
- General knowledge of electrical, plumbing, appliances, and HVAC.
- Ability to speak and understand basic English.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Ability to milt-task in fast-paced office environment.
- Ability to work with diverse groups of people and personalities.

- Certificates of Fitness- S12, S13, S14, P99
Responsibilities
- Perform repairs in such areas as, but not limited to, appliances, carpentry, hardware accessories, masonry, painting and basic electrical, plumbing and HVAC
- Complete assigned service requests and repairs consistent with company operating procedures.
- Complete assigned service requests and repairs consistent with company operating procedures. Assist in preparing vacant apartments for market ready status in accordance with company standards.
- Maintain grounds and curb appeal through snow removal, landscaping and trash management activities.
- Be available for on- call activity during off hours and emergencies based on a pre-determined schedule and need
