About The Position

The Handyman Technician conducts basic maintenance and repair issues for clients, office spaces, warehouses, and businesses. Their main duties include repairing plumbing systems, fixing company equipment or tools and testing various company or home appliances, and lighting systems to ensure everything is working properly.

Requirements

High School Diploma or General Education Degree
Security consciousness.
Being highly observant.
Ability to work under pressure.
Time management skills
Good knowledge of electrical works.
Maintain a positive attitude.
Ability to prioritize tasks.
Ability to follow instructions.
Must have your own tools and be a self-starter and be able to work on your own.
Need a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving ability
Excellent physical condition and flexibility to work long shifts.

Must be able to pass drug test(s) as required by company
Lift up to 50 pounds; be able to push, pull, carry or maneuver heavier items (with additional manpower or appropriate devices); carry ladders; work from heights, work in small crawl spaces.

Responsibilities

Ensure mechanical equipment is in working order and fixed, as necessary.
Complete general building cleaning and maintenance.
Install and replace floors, stairs and piping as needed.
Repair and paint doors, windows, walls, ceilings, roofs, and other parts of the building.
Maintain trash and recycling receptacles around the facility.
Maintain and repair air conditioning and heating systems as required.
Fixes doors in the organization and change the locks if they are bad.
Conducts carpentry works by fixing furniture.
Repairs electrical gadgets.
Repairs plumbing appliances.
Repairs mailboxes and replaces them when necessary.
Troubleshoots general problems.
Repairs and replaces general hardware.
Removes stains and paints buildings when necessary.
Attends to members of staff promptly when called upon.
Assists department in various tasks and or assignments.
