The Operator performs operational work related to loading/unloading tank trucks and railcars; bulk liquid transfer within the facility; performing basic tank, pipe and pumping system maintenance; and general housekeeping for the yard and the shop areas.

Responsibilities

  • Load and unload trucks which involves climbing ladders and moving/picking up 50#+ hoses
  • Load and unload railcars using large wenches to loosen fittings and bolts
  • Responsible for bulk liquid transfers - opening and closing large gate valves, walking throughout the plant on uneven surfaces/gravel/rock/grass and climbing stairs/catwalks/vertical ladders
  • Operate various style pumps and troubleshoot and perform basic maintenance/repairs
  • Operate boiler and replace steam fittings as needed
  • Perform general inside housekeeping and outside housekeeping involving physical labor, shovel, wheelbarrow, and rake
  • Perform maintenance using hand tools, moving heavy valves/pipes, and some loader operation
  • Participates and contributes to company safety program
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned
