About The Position

The Hand Packer will perform production operation duties to ensure a quality product is produced, packaged, and prepared for delivery to customers safely.

Requirements

Previous experience in a high-volume manufacturing environment preferred.
Ability to read, write, perform basic mathematical calculations, and accurately record data.
Must be willing to work ove1time, weekends, holidays, and varying shifts, as required.
Minimum age: 18
Must be able to pass a drug screen and physical.
Must be able to frequently stand, walk, kneel, reach, climb, pull, and bend.
Must be able to routinely lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, and occasionally 75 pounds.
To walk/stand on your feet constantly during your shift.
Maintain constant mental focus and constantly be aware of your surroundings.
Must be able to work in both very hot (more than 100 degrees) and very cold (less than 20 degrees below zero) and in a very wet and humid environment for extended periods.
Exposed to noise/vibration, and chemicals.
Required to Stand, walk, climb, bend, twist, push and pull, bend, kneel, and reach above and below the shoulder.
Repetition-Hand/Wrist Simple Grasping, Firm grasping.

Responsibilities

Load and debag bottles as needed to support production.
Visually inspect bottles placed on the line for production and remove damaged bottles.
Bag all bottles not used for production and move them to storage as required.
Monitor weights, seals, caps, and general packaging of the product.
Ensure that the proper packaging materials are used for each product being produced.
Assist in performing changeovers safely and efficiently.
Assist in preparing equipment for the next run to include size changes as needed.
Ensure proper code dates and monitor inkjet printers.
Complete the cleaning checklist and assist in performing sanitation of equipment.
Maintain a clean, sanitary, and safe work area.
