About The Position

A Laborer Hand is responsible for cleaning and clearing the site by removing debris, trash, and hazards. Laborer will adhere to all safety protocols and wear required personal protective equipment. Will report any safety concerns to supervisor immediately.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
• Proven experience as a hand laborer in the construction or related field.
• Experience using hand tools such as shovels, rakes, hammers, and levels.
• Experience with trench digging, backfilling, and soil compaction.
• Experience in site preparation and cleaning, including debris removal.
• Must have reliable transportation.
• Must have reliable/working phone.
• Steel toe boots.
• Ability to lift heavy objects (50+ lbs regularly) and perform physically demanding tasks, including bending, kneeling, and standing for extended periods.
• Ability to work in various weather conditions.
• Familiarity with basic construction principles and practices.
• Proficiency in using hand tools such as shovels, rakes, hammers, and levels.
• Ability to follow instructions accurately and efficiently.
• Strong commitment to safety regulations and procedures.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to complete tasks to quality standards and within deadlines.
• Effective communication skills to report safety concerns and work progress.

Responsibilities

• Leveling ground and preparing surfaces.
• Digging trenches and holes for utilities and foundations using hand tools.
• Backfilling trenches and compacting soil as directed.
• Performing basic maintenance.
