About The Position

Works on projects where the hand assembly of project components is required. These projects require acute attention to detail and accuracy.

  • Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
  • Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • knowledge of the Print Management software.
  • The employee is frequently required to stand; use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms.
  • The employee is occasionally required to walk; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and talk or hear.
  • The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
  • the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts and fumes or airborne particles.
  • The noise level in the work environment is frequently 80db or more.

Responsibilities

  • Assists in all hand bindery operations and phases of project finishing.
  • Handles material to and from other departments
  • Monitors material to avoid shortages or project delays.
  • Assists in project set-up.
  • Verifies product quantity and version.
  • Handles general maintenance and housekeeping of the hand bindery and adjacent areas.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
