About The Position

As a Field Merchandiser, you will work independently to utilize your organization and time management skills, establish retailer relationships, and represent Hallmark. You will collaborate with local store teams to optimize product placement and maintain inventory levels, and support team members with seasonal resets and installations as needed. Occasionally, you may work with products from other companies in the stores you service. This role involves performing service work in Hallmark departments within various retail stores, including grocery stores, drug stores, department stores, and mass retailers. The position encompasses day-to-day engagement, holiday support, and department resets. As part of Hallmark's field organization, you will be part of a network of merchandising professionals who often support other team members in their territories.

Requirements

  • At least 18 years of age
  • Able to read, write and understand English
  • Ability to grasp, pull, lift, and carry products up to 30 pounds frequently and 50 pounds occasionally
  • Able to operate a digital hand-held device to open and read documents and interpret information
  • Access to a Wi-Fi network and the internet
  • Access to consistent transportation to travel to and between assigned stores as scheduled

Responsibilities

  • Establish retailer relationships
  • Be the face of Hallmark
  • Collaborate with local store teams to optimize product placement and maintain inventory levels
  • Support fellow team members with seasonal resets and installations, when needed
  • Perform service work in the Hallmark department of various retail stores such as grocery stores, drug stores, department stores, and mass retailers
  • Utilize a mobile device provided by Hallmark to restock, organize, and monitor the inventory of Hallmark products within and outside the Hallmark department
  • Use technology for day-to-day work, communication with your supervisor, reporting time, providing feedback, and answering surveys for required merchandising activities
  • Maintain professional and courteous interaction with store employees, management, and customers
  • Be responsible for the entire Hallmark product display at your assigned stores
  • Work additional days and extended hours during the work week leading up to and following holidays such as Valentine's Day, Easter, Mother's Day, Father's Day, Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas
  • Be required to work on actual holidays like Valentine's Day, Mother's Day, and Father's Day, which may include weekends
  • Be part of a team responsible for installations and various tasks like building and installing Hallmark fixtures, relocating card departments and products, as well as resetting card sections
  • Support other team members as needed in their territories
