About The Position

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: 1. Escort patient from room to x-rays and returning patient to their assigned room once x-ray preformed. 2. Adding x-ray order in EMR system 3. Verify patient information by interviewing patient 4. Documents all items in the electronic health record and the document imaging system in a timely manner. 5. Participate in ongoing education and development 6. Interact with other departments (Billing, health records, radiology, service coordination) to obtain the resources needed to assist in patient care 7. Recognizes and maintains the confidentiality of the patient by following all HIPAA, clinical, OSHA and infection control standards and guidelines. 8. Promptly responds to customers in a friendly manner, listening carefully and using customer's name. Every customer greeted with a smile. 9. Is consistently courteous and helpful. 10. Displays a positive appearance including appropriate dress as defined in employee handbook, and wears visible identification badge at all times 11. Is responsible for ensuring that all patient, facility, and employee information is not compromised. 12. Commitment to Co-Workers (A co-worker is anyone within Carrell Clinic with whom you interact). 13. Takes pride in organization as if you owned it, speaks positively about the organization, and practices safety as a work habit. 14. Supports and participates in various teams as is able. 15. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications EXPERIENCE: Previous Medical experience desired. Previous exposure dealing with physicians face-to-face on a regular basis. REQUIREMENTS: A good grasp of standard written and verbal English, good spelling, and grammar. KNOWLEDGE: Must have general knowledge of medical practice and terminology and possess computer skills. SKILLS: Must meet and deal successfully with a wide variety of people. ABILITIES: Able to work in a fast-paced stressful environment. ENVIRONMENTAL/WORKING CONDITIONS: 1. Fast-paced office environment. 2. Adaptable to making changes. PHYSICAL/MENTAL DEMANDS: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to sit and use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls. The employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, and reach with hands and arms. Employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus.
