About The Position

We are seeking enthusiastic interns for the Shiseido Hajimari Summer Internship program, a paid, full-time, 9-week experience from June 1st to July 31st. Based in our New Jersey and New York offices, this program offers hands-on exposure to the full product life-cycle, from Marketing to Manufacturing, along with impactful projects, networking opportunities, and professional development workshops. About our Production Technical Team: Our Production Technical team is made up of six engineers who own the end-to-end execution of all new product launches. The team is responsible for estimating labor costs, running trials, purchasing equipment, and designing and building manufacturing lines—with safety at the forefront of everything we do. Beyond launches, we support daily production, lead continuous improvement and efficiency projects, and partner closely with cross-functional teams to ensure safe, reliable, and scalable operations.

Requirements

  • Must be a rising Junior or Senior in college working towards a bachelor’s degree
  • Effective communication skills, attention to detail, and highly organized
  • Energetic, self-motivated, results oriented
  • Flexible and able to function in a fast-paced, safety-first work environment
  • Have a passion for cosmetics, the beauty industry and keeping up-to-date with industry trends

Responsibilities

  • Support engineering work within manufacturing work centers (production lines).
  • Document current processes, standard work, cycle times, and layouts.
  • Perform time studies and line balancing to identify labor efficiency and headcount reduction opportunities.
  • Assist with continuous improvement and new product launch activities.
  • Support production and safety-related documentation.
