Requirements

Certification by the State Board of Cosmetology is required.
A minimum of two years' experience in hair care/beautician services is required.
Must be able to deal tactfully with patients/residents some with impaired cognition, family members, visitors, government agencies/personnel and the general public

Responsibilities

Perform haircuts, shampoos and permanents as desired by patients/residents and/or families.
Does manicures or pedicures as requested.
Keep daily records in coordination with business office of patient/resident beautician charges.
Maintain inventory of beauty supplies based on supply and demand.
Ensure that all OSHA and safety standards are followed, adheres to HIPAA confidentiality standards of the patient/resident and complies with infection control.
