About The Position
We are seeking a talented and professional Hairdresser to join our team at a reputable Personal Care Facility. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for enhancing clients' beauty and confidence through expert hair styling and grooming services. This role offers an opportunity to work in a supportive environment dedicated to personalized care, where your skills in cosmetology, barbering, and customer service will be valued and utilized to create a positive experience for every resident. Barton House is a small (20 bed) facility that specializes in memory impairments, including Alzheimer's. We have a fun loving home like atmosphere. Requirements
- Valid cosmetology or barbering license with experience in hair styling and related services.
- Proficiency in hair coloring techniques and knowledge of color theory.
- Experience with senior clients is strongly preferred.
- Patience, empathy, and excellent communication skills.
- Strong understanding of sanitation practices within a personal care environment.
Responsibilities
- Provide a wide range of hair services including cutting, coloring, styling (e.g., wash-and-sets) tailored to client preferences.
- Develop a thorough understanding of each resident's hair care needs and preferences.
- Ensure a comfortable, relaxing, and compassionate experience for all residents including those with mobility challenges.
- Maintain high standards of sanitation and hygiene in accordance with industry regulations.
