About The Position

This position is responsible for performing physical and visual inspections of product and plant systems documenting and calculating results accurately; taking corrective action when necessary alert appropriate personnel to adjust process; identify segregate isolate non-conforming product and report results to management; any additional assignments requested. All team members are responsible for safety. This includes but is not limited to personal safety and food safety.

Requirements

  • Education: High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum of 1 year experience in manufacturing required or other QA type experience.
  • Communication Skills: Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Special Skills: Must possess skills to complete Tyson paperwork; ability to lead by example and motivate the hourly workforce; good problem identification and problem solving skills; math and organizational skills; ability to read and interpret product specifications; must function well under stress; must have flexibility to work where and when needed.
  • Physical Requirements: Position involves heavy lifting 70 lbs. or more .
  • Internal Team Members: • Must not have 4 or more attendance points for locations on an 8 point policy (on application date) • No written warning in the past six (6) months • No suspension on record for the last 12 months • No lateral, downward, or self-disqualification unless for higher classification for the past 6 months. • New TM’s still in 90 days of probationary period are not eligible to bid. Internal applicants should either upload a resume to their application on Workday OR complete their application fully showing current and past work experience OR make sure their Career Profile in Workday is up to date and complete.
