About The Position

The City of Kaukauna is hiring Gymnastics Lead Teacher for it's summer 2026 program to positively model and instruct gymnasts to achieve their greatest potential, developing skills and techniques to succeed in and outside the gym. WHAT YOU'LL DO Conduct lesson plans featuring warm-ups, drill exercises, conditioning exercises, skills development, and our pioneering bungee system. Assess student progress, provide constructive feedback, and pinpoint areas of improvement. Guarantee a safe environment by enforcing safety rules and regulations and ensuring our equipment is in optimal condition. Offer expert guidance on proper form and technique in floor gymnastics. Safe spotting and instruction of gymnastics skills during practices. Inspire and motivate students to find joy in physical activity and foster their skill development. Keep parents and caregivers informed about student progress and program updates via our advanced online software program. Collaborate with our passionate team of instructors and staff to ensure a cohesive and effective program.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in education from an accredited institution
• Current Wisconsin teaching license
• Knowledgeable in educational techniques, subject content and evaluating learning objectives
• Demonstrated independence and leadership
• Conscious of safety behaviors
• Ability to handle decision-making and provide feedback with professionalism
• Must be able to stoop, kneel, climb, bend, lift up to 50 pounds, reach, push, and pull
• Ability to sustain prolonged visual concentration
• Ability to stand for prolonged periods of time
• Ability to endure a variety of weather and temperature conditions for prolonged periods of time

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience teaching and leading, preferred
