Description Deliver flight training in a simulator and ground school in accordance with regulatory requirements, CAE‑approved curriculum, and customer needs. Serve as a subject matter expert (SME) and lead clients through training sessions. Provide simulator/flight or classroom instruction for licenses, type ratings, certificates, internal training, and pilot qualifications for one or more assigned aircraft types. Conduct professional, thorough pre‑ and post‑flight simulator briefings following CAE standards. Complete required administrative duties, including training records, remedial training recommendations, and maintaining personal instructional qualifications. Support curriculum and courseware development as an SME when required. As needed and based on business requirements, qualify as a Training Center Evaluator (TCE) and contract check airman after 1.5+ years. Participate in CAE’s comprehensive instructor training program designed to transform operational pilot experience into instructional expertise. Provide exceptional customer service, creating a welcoming and effective learning environment. Tailor instruction to meet the needs of diverse learners and maintain accurate, timely records as required by CAE and the FAA.

Requirements

  • Hold, or meet the qualifications to receive, an unrestricted ATP certificate and at least one unrestricted PIC Type Rating.
  • Experience operating business aircraft (preferred but not required).
  • Strong passion for teaching with excellent communication skills.
  • Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office and web‑based programs.
  • Must be authorized to live and work in the United States.
  • Must participate in CAE’s DOT Drug & Alcohol Testing Program.
  • Residency in or near Las Vegas, NV, or willingness to relocate.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience flying or instructing in Gulfstream aircraft.
  • Previous experience in a professional training or instructional environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to create a positive, high‑quality learning environment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills across multiple levels.
  • Ability to personalize instruction for a diverse customer base.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to maintain accurate and compliant training records.
