Applicants beyond fifty (50) miles may still be considered.Job SummaryWe are embarking on a major strategic initiative to modernize our core Business Insurance platform.  As an IT Program Manager for this transformation, you will drive end-to-end delivery, ensuring seamless alignment with critical business objectives and technical requirements across a complex architectural landscape.   In this role, you will: Partner with business leaders, IT teams, and vendors to define scope, objectives, and deliverables. Lead and coordinate cross-functional teams across multiple workstreams. Drive Agile delivery methodologies to accelerate outcomes. Oversee supplier performance and ensure accountability for quality and timelines.

Requirements

  • Level III: 5 years in an IT environment, including 2 years in a managerial role or 1 year as a Program Manager II.
  • 5 years in IT Project or Program Management.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent, relevant experience.
  • PMP or equivalent preferred.
  • Proven track record in large-scale insurance technology projects.
  • Strong understanding of Business Insurance operations and P&C systems.
  • Familiarity with Guidewire suite, integration patterns, and security standards.
  • Proficiency in project management tools (MS Project, Rally) and methodologies (Agile, Waterfall).

Nice To Haves

  • Guidewire certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the “Inception” phase of the program: translate high-level vision into a detailed Master Implementation Plan, including commercial product rollout strategy.
  • Facilitate program scoping, including definition of Minimum Viable Product for complex commercial lines, balancing out-of-the-box functionality vs. configuration vs. customization.
  • Prepare and present executive-ready status reports.
  • Coordinate delivery across suppliers and multiple workstreams, including risk, quality, change management, system dependencies, and schedule.
  • Implement IT governance and adhere to enterprise delivery framework practices for auditability and compliance.
  • Manage RAID log (Risks, Assumptions, Issues, Dependencies) and resolve cross-departmental blockers.
  • Conduct post-implementation reviews.
  • Plan and control day-to-day project activities and budgets.
  • Work with business units to define needs and arrange appropriate resources.
  • Perform administrative management of retained staff (e.g., business analysts, SMEs, support services), as needed.
  • Manage customer and stakeholder relationships, enabling commitment.
  • Liaison with architecture, infrastructure teams, third parties, as necessary.
  • Oversee supplier performance, ensuring accountability for quality, timelines, and SLAs.
  • Review and approve vendor invoices and cost estimates.
  • Ensure statement of work compliance, and effective pace and quality through collaborative working relationships with selected supplier partners.
  • Coordinate communication, escalation, and financial impact management, when SLAs are not met.
