About The Position

The Guest Services Manager at The Foundry Hotel Asheville, Curio Collection is a management role responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the guest services department. This includes ensuring a high level of guest satisfaction, managing a team of guest service associates, and collaborating with other hotel departments to provide exceptional service to our guests. This is a full-time, salaried position, with compensation between 60-65k per year based on experience.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a guest service or front desk management role.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Proven ability to provide exceptional customer service and resolve conflicts.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
  • Knowledge of property management systems and Microsoft Office.
  • Flexibility to work weekends, evenings, and holidays as needed.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's degree in hospitality or related field preferred.
  • Experience with budget management preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the daily operations of the guest services department, including front desk, concierge services and luggage services.
  • Ensure a high level of guest satisfaction by promptly addressing any guest concerns and providing exceptional service.
  • Train and manage a team of guest service associates, ensuring they are knowledgeable and capable of providing excellent service to guests.
  • Collaborate with other hotel departments, such as housekeeping and food and beverage, to ensure a seamless experience for guests.
  • Monitor and maintain the guest services budget, including staffing and supply expenses.
  • Implement and maintain guest service standards and procedures.
  • Respond to guest complaints and escalations in a timely and professional manner.
  • Assist with hiring, training, and evaluating guest service associates.
  • Conduct regular department meetings and communicate any pertinent information to team members.
  • Collaborate with the sales and marketing team to develop and execute promotions and packages to attract guests.
  • Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of local attractions, restaurants, and events to assist guests with their inquiries.
  • Ensure the front desk and lobby area is clean, inviting, and well-maintained at all times.
