We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic intern to join our Barclays Center arena team in Brooklyn, NY! The intern will have the opportunity to gain valuable hands-on experience while contributing to various projects. This position is designed to provide exposure to different aspects of our organization and offers a dynamic learning environment. The Guest Services Intern supports the Guest Services team in delivering exceptional experiences for customers, clients, or visitors. This role provides hands-on experience in hospitality, customer service, and operations, fostering skills in communication, organization, and problem-solving.
Requirements
- Currently pursuing a degree in Hospitality, Tourism, Business, or a related field.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to handle high-pressure situations with professionalism and poise.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, or holidays as needed.
Nice To Haves
- Knowledge of reservation systems is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Greet and assist guests in a friendly, professional manner.
- Respond promptly to guest inquiries, concerns, and feedback.
- Provide accurate information about services, facilities, events, or offerings.
- Handle reservations, bookings, or ticketing as needed.
- Maintain organized records of guest interactions and reports.
- Assist with check-in/check-out processes or registration tasks.
- Support the planning and execution of guest-related events or activities.
- Coordinate with internal teams to ensure smooth event operations.
- Monitor the cleanliness and organization of public spaces or facilities.
- Report any maintenance or safety concerns promptly.
- Work closely with team members and supervisors to enhance guest experiences.
- Participate in team meetings, training sessions, or evaluations.
