About The Position

Home to NASCAR’s Championship Weekend, Phoenix Raceway has been the premier motorsports venue in the Southwest since 1964 and hosts two NASCAR race weekends each year. In March, the Shriners Children's 500 NASCAR Weekend kicks off the race season at Phoenix Raceway, featuring the NASCAR Cup Series, NASCAR Xfinity Series and ARCA Menards Series. In November, champions will be crowned in the NASCAR Cup Series, NASCAR Xfinity Series, NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series and ARCA Menards Series West. Phoenix Raceway also hosts a variety of events throughout the year, including corporate meetings and conferences, charity events, holiday events, sport and endurance competitions, driving schools and Segway tours. Phoenix Raceway is seeking part time event workers in the position of Guest Services Event Staff. As a member of the Guest Services Event Staff, you will be responsible for bringing our guests an unforgettable racing experience. Event Staff will work select publicly ticketed events throughout the year. ADMISSIONS EVENT STAFF Admissions Event Staff are responsible for bringing our guests an unforgettable race day experience! Admissions Event Staff will check/scan each guest's ticket or credential for valid entry through the grandstand gates and/or infield gates. GUEST SERVICES OFFICE EVENT STAFF GUEST SERVICES OFFICES – GSO Event Staff are positioned at Guest Services Offices that are located around property and in the Venue. GSO Event Staff must be able to think quickly, utilize their tools to provide our fans with accurate information in a timely manner, and ensure our fans have a positive race-day experience. GSO Event Staff are also responsible for managing the lost and found program, resolving any ticket discrepancies or issues, and taking fan feedback with a positive attitude. VENUE EVENT STAFF Venue EVENT STAFF are responsible for bringing our guests an unforgettable race day experience! Ushers will assist by directing guests to the location of their seats and other points of interest, enforcing Raceway policies and procedures, providing event information to guests, and making sure everything in their area is in working order.

Requirements

  • Must be friendly, enthusiastic, and personable
  • Customer service experience preferred
  • Strong communication skills
  • Must learn quickly and be trainable
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced & high stress environment
  • Ability to be on feet for extended periods of time (8-12 hours)
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to work outside in variable seasonal weather conditions
  • Ability to work with others and take direction
  • Must be able to work nights, weekends and holidays as assigned
  • Must follow dress code and have a clean, presentable appearance at all times.
