About The Position

The cart attendant ensures that all golf carts and related equipment meet facility standards, meet and greet guests at the cart staging or bag drop-off area, and provide excellent customer service.

Requirements

Must have excellent verbal communication skills
Must have knowledge of the game of golf
Must have a valid drivers license
Must display a professional appearance as outlined in the Audubon Handbook
Must be able to work independently and function as a member of the team
Must have a high school diploma
Must be able to frequently stand, walk or sit for long periods of time
Must be able to frequently climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl and reach
Must have close visual acuity in order to operate equipment
Must be able to work outdoors under conditions ranging from extreme hot to extreme cold
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and frequently up to 20 lbs using proper lifting techniques

Nice To Haves

Previous experience working at a golf facility
Previous experience working in a setting that requires strong customer service
Previous experience working in a retail setting
Ability to play the game

Responsibilities

Greet and enthusiastically provide each customer with the court conditions, directions, and any other pertinent information
Open and/or close the cart barn
Prepare and maintain the golf carts for use, including making sure they are clean, fully charged, operational, and prepped for play with tees, scorecards, and pencils
Assist in keeping the golf shop cooler filled with product
Maintain cart staging and cart cleaning areas
Ensure sand buckets and ice buckets on carts are full
Clean and restock rental sets after use
Marshall the golf course during busy times as needed
