What You'll Be Doing: Under the general direction and supervision of the Guest Service Coordinator and Guest Services Specialists, a Guest Service Representative provides direct customer service to community members, guests, and staff. Representatives assist with program and membership registrations, answering phone calls at the rec center, and gymnastics/senior center and serve as a central communication person for all departments to filter information to the public. Our ideal candidate will: Have a strong understanding of, and alignment with the District's Core Values: Innovation, Integrity, Teamwork, Customer Service. Provide excellent customer service in a timely manner to internal and external customers, and patrons. Has thorough knowledge and understanding of District programs and offerings to answer questions and process memberships, classes, program enrollments, Facility rentals, etc. Must be proficient at communicating internally and externally via email, phone, and in-person to supervisors, co-workers, participants, parents, volunteers, and other community members. Attends staff meetings and departmental training Conducts building tours for community members Performs basic janitorial functions in facilities including but not limited to mopping floors, taking out trash, cleaning up spills, washing windows, and cleaning workout equipment. Have basic computer knowledge with programs such as Excel, Word, and Outlook. Other programs include CivicRec and Paylocity. Enforces rules and policies with staff and guests within the building.

Requirements

  • Must be available to work all shifts including days, nights, weekends, and some holidays based on the needs of the District.
  • Must be 16 years of age
  • High school diploma or GED
  • CPR, AED, first aid certification, or the ability to become certified within the first 90 days of employment
  • Have a strong understanding of, and alignment with the District's Core Values: Innovation, Integrity, Teamwork, Customer Service.
  • Provide excellent customer service in a timely manner to internal and external customers, and patrons.
  • Has thorough knowledge and understanding of District programs and offerings to answer questions and process memberships, classes, program enrollments, Facility rentals, etc.
