About The Position

The role of Guest Ambassador is responsible for greeting guests eagerly as we welcome them into our establishments. This position is the first and last to interact with guests and are responsible for providing excellent customer service. The Guest Ambassador completes tasks like answering phone calls & emails, checking guests in & out, assisting with the transportation of luggage & assisting with guest inquiries. This role is a vital aspect in assuring we supply the guest with exceptional southern hospitality.

Requirements

  • Sufficient education and literacy needed to identify and read product labels and to communicate with guests about job-related needs
  • Ability to read write, speak, and communicate in basic English preferred
  • Valid driver’s license (preferred)
  • Previous hospitality experience preferred
  • Detail oriented and thorough
  • Ability to perform consistent work to the highest of standards
  • Ability to remain discreet and respect the privacy of guests
  • Ability to interact with guests in a pleasant friendly way
  • Strong listing skills
  • Knowledge of guest service operations
  • Ability to identify and independently resolve issues
  • Ability to implement operations to achieve service excellence
  • Basic knowledge of the surrounding area and local attractions
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to stand and move throughout front office and lobby while continuously performing essential job functions
  • Ability to lift to 30 lbs
  • Occasional twisting, bending, stooping, reaching, and walking
  • Frequent talking, hearing, seeing, and smiling

Responsibilities

  • Registers guest and accommodates requests whenever possible
  • Handles both check-in and check-out process
  • Communicates with housekeeping and other departments and understands room status
  • Resolves guest issues promptly and professionally
  • Receives payment and resolves any billing concerns
  • Answer phones and respond to emails in a professional and friendly manner
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace
  • Unload and transport guest luggage upon arrival
  • Assist with the transport and loading of guest luggage upon departure
  • Assist guests with any needs, questions, or special requests
  • Assist guests with parking
  • Be aware of daily hotel activities, group and VIP guests
  • All other duties as assigned
