About The Position

This position is responsible for the overall cleanliness of the hotel guest rooms.

Requirements

  • Must possess excellent interpersonal skills with an ability to foster a supportive and enabling team environment.
  • Previous cleaning experience or the ability to use cleaning equipment and supplies.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively in English.
  • Ability to learn the appropriate hotel operating systems.
  • Ability to maintain an average room inspection score of 90% or higher.
  • Ability to complete a twelve-credit (12) or more quota within an eight-hour shift.
  • Cleans guest rooms and maintains cleaning equipment according to department standards.
  • Willingness to gain knowledge of regulatory safety practices on MSDS, OSHA regulations, Hazardous Communication and Blood borne pathogens.
  • Must be able to stand for long periods of time with frequent reaching, lifting, and bending.
  • Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs.
  • Must be able to work various shifts and flexible hours.
  • Must maintain highest level of privacy and confidentiality.
  • Must possess the ability to appropriately manage stressful situations.
  • Must be willing to work in a smoking environment.
  • Must be willing to adhere to company safety measures.

  • Housekeeping experience in a 3-4 Diamond hotel.

Responsibilities

  • Promotes superior guest service.
  • Maintains, and perpetuates a positive organizational culture according to the principles of the Spirit of Tâlícn and the Core Values of ilani.
  • Responsible for making beds, cleaning bathrooms and floors, vacuuming, dusting, and replenishing of fresh linens and amenities.
  • Arranges all toiletries and bedroom amenities to pre-set standards.
  • Maintains assigned cleaning equipment and tools.
  • Keeps carts, linen racks, and equipment neat and orderly.
  • Reports uncommon conditions, maintenance problems and repairs to a Housekeeping Supervisor.
  • Follows established chemical and key control usage and procedures.
  • Maintains cleanliness and supply inventory in storage areas.
  • Assists with recycling efforts.
  • Performs other projects as assigned.
