About The Position

As a Guest Room Attendant, you will be responsible for ensuring that our guests experience a clean, comfortable, and welcoming environment. You will perform a variety of tasks to maintain high standards of cleanliness and presentation in our guest rooms and public areas. Your attention to detail and dedication to exceptional service will contribute to our guests' overall satisfaction and positive experience at our hotel.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • At least six (6) months of previous experience in housekeeping or a similar role.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Outstanding communication and active listening skills
  • Physical stamina to perform repetitive tasks and lift/move items as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Room Cleaning and Maintenance:
  • Clean and prepare approximately 15 guest rooms a day, including, but not limited to: making beds with fresh linens, vacuuming carpets, including under bed skirts, desk, and behind nightstands cleaning and dusting all furniture and surfaces, picture frames, mirrors, windows, baseboards, carpet edges, inside and outside door panels, door ledges, and thresholds sweep and mop tile floors cleaning bathrooms including ensuring bathtubs, showers, ledges, sinks, vanity shelves, toilets, and vases are spot and dust-free
  • Replace linens, towels, and amenities as needed, ensuring the highest standards of hygiene and presentation.
  • Report any maintenance issues or damages to the supervisor.
  • Guest Services:
  • Provide friendly and efficient service to guests, addressing any requests or concerns promptly and courteously.
  • Ensure that guest preferences and special requests are met whenever possible.
  • Respond to inquiries about hotel services, amenities, and local attractions.
  • Inventory and Supplies:
  • Manage and restock housekeeping supplies, including cleaning agents, linens, and toiletries.
  • Maintain an organized and tidy housekeeping cart and storage area.
  • Health and Safety:
  • Follow all health and safety regulations, including proper handling cleaning chemicals, lifting protocols, universal precautions, and use of wet floor signs.
  • Adhere to hotel policies and procedures for room keys 5. Team Collaboration:
  • Work closely with other housekeeping staff and departments to ensure smooth operations and guest satisfaction.
  • Participate in training sessions and meetings as required.
  • Miscellaneous:
  • Performs all other job-related duties as assigned
