About The Position

The Front End Support Team Member plays a key role in ensuring smooth and efficient front-end operations by assisting wherever needed. This versatile position provides support across multiple front-end functions, including bagging, cart retrieval, self-checkout assistance, and light restocking. The Front End Support helps maintain a clean, organized, and retail Customer-friendly environment while ensuring that checkout lanes and service stations remain fully supplied and ready.

Requirements

  • Enthusiasm for providing outstanding retail Customer Service.
  • Ability to adapt quickly to a variety of tasks and responsibilities.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Physical ability to stand and walk for up to 4 hours without a break.
  • Ability to bend and stoop to grasp objects, push carts, lift up to 50 lbs. unassisted, and push/pull carts weighing up to 100 lbs. unassisted.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous retail, grocery, or customer service experience is a plus, but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Assist cashiers during busy times with bagging groceries and providing Customer Service.
  • Retrieve carts from parking and staging areas to ensure availability for Customers.
  • Monitor and support self-checkout stations, providing quick assistance when needed.
  • Keep front-end supplies stocked, including bags, receipt paper, and cleaning materials.
  • Perform light restocking of impulse items and maintain organized displays.
  • Help keep the front-end area clean, organized, and safe.
  • Oversee the Customer Relations Desk to assist with register overrides and Guest inquiries.
  • Provide courteous, professional assistance to Customers at all times.
  • Support the overall front-end team to ensure smooth operations and excellent service.
  • Follow all Plum Market policies, procedures, and safety standards.
