About The Position

The Gubernatorial Education intern will support United’s work across its priority states where gubernatorial elections are being held in 2026. The Gubernatorial Education team seeks to identify and influence bipartisan allies in the advanced energy space. In doing so, the team will develop policy memos, facilitate roundtables, and serve as an industry expert for gubernatorial candidates. Key intern tasks will focus on research, logistical organization, and preparation for the Gubernatorial Education team’s engagements with candidates and staff across the country. The ideal candidate will be highly organized, have adept political acumen, be personable, and will come to work with curiosity and passion for the clean energy-political nexus.

Requirements

  • Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)
  • Interns will work a hybrid schedule and therefore must be located in the DC, MD, VA area for the summer, a commutable distance to our DC office.
