Banesco USA is seeking an SBA Loan Workout Officer for our SBA Special Assets Business Unit.
Requirements
A minimum of five years of commercial and lending and underwriting experience, including loan review and commercial, and retail collections, or a combination thereof. Also requires a working knowledge of loan restructures and collection, bankruptcy and foreclosure laws, along with a general understanding of legal proceedings.
Completion of an undergraduate degree in accounting, finance, economics, business administration, or a related field. Valid Class C drivers license and accepting driving history is required.
A significant level of trust, credibility and diplomacy is required. In-depth dialogue, conversations and explanations with customers, direct and indirect reports and outside vendors can be of a sensitive and/or highly confidential nature.
Responsibilities
Deals with chronic delinquent accounts and new accounts, typically at least 60 days past due, but as warranted by other special situations, such as the sale of a business or death of a loan guarantor and bankruptcies.
Communicates directly with the Special Assets Officer.
Executes on resulting strategies often taking additional direction from management
Works with adjacent partner areas such as portfolio management and loan operations to understand internal process that may affect resolutions and/or to effectuate resolution on bank books.
Works with loss mitigation team members on back and forth delinquency situations.
Creates forbearance agreements.
Is cognizant of timely completion of requirements for government guaranteed loans, primarily SBA lending.
Assists in ordering site inspections and sending SBA required letters to borrower.
Completes SBA packages and send to the servicing center by deadline.
Create folders and gather documents
Update department reports as needed.
Handle vendor invoices
Other administrative tasks as required.
