About The Position

Whether you're on a consumer product (like Gmail, Search, Maps, Chrome, Android) or a business product (Google Ads, AdSense, Google Marketing Platform, Analytics), you take part in a complete marketing experience as you lead every facet of the product's journey. From determining positioning, naming, competitive analysis, feature prioritization and external communications, you help shape the product and help it grow a consumer base. This means you work with a cross-functional team across Sales, corporate communications, legal, webmasters, product development, engineering and more. In this role, you'll be involved with product marketing strategy from beginning to end. Google Play offers music, movies, books, apps and games for devices, powered by the cloud. It syncs across devices and on the web. As part of the Android and Mobile team, Googlers working on Google Play do everything from engineering our backend systems, to shaping product strategy, to forming great content partnerships. They make it possible for people to do things like buy an ebook or song on their Android phone, then have it instantly available on their laptop. The Google Play team enhances the Android ecosystem by giving developers and partners a premium store where they can reach millions of users. The US base salary range for this full-time position is $142,000-$205,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 6 years of experience in marketing working across one or more marketing fields (i.e., growth, product marketing, brand marketing, social).
  • 2 years of experience developing business strategies or managing cross-functional initiatives.
  • Experience managing agreements or partnerships and GTM strategies.

Nice To Haves

  • MBA degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • Experience in mCommerce or digital retail, with Telco/OEM and a strong understanding of platform dynamics and business generation models (e.g., business share, advertising, subscriptions).
  • Experience working in one or more of the following fields: growth, product, brand, social, partner marketing, or research.
  • Ability to navigate matrixed organizations, manage complex internal approval processes, and develop data-driven GTM strategies in ambiguous or rapidly evolving landscapes.

Responsibilities

  • Architect commercial frameworks and global GTM strategies for strategic partnerships. Define value propositions and incentive models for OEMs, Telcos, and Retailers to optimize acquisition and ecosystem value.
  • Direct the GTM roadmap for international expansion and scaling. Evaluate market readiness and adapt commercial models to ensure successful, localized entry into global territories.
  • Lead market research to identify target audiences and growth opportunities. Define customer personas to guide messaging, translating insights into actionable product and partnership roadmap recommendations.
  • Design the promotional lifecycle and merchandising strategy for the mCommerce storefront. Execute integrated campaigns and offer programming to elevate user value and drive long-term ecosystem growth.
  • Own internal operational processes to enable product expansion. Manage complex timelines and secure approvals across Legal, Regulatory, and Finance, collaborating with leadership to execute integrated GTM plans.
