About The Position

Lunar Energy was founded to transition homes to 100% clean energy—making our electricity greener, our air cleaner and our energy more safe, secure and reliable for all. We’re a fast-growing, global company building the world’s best clean energy products to electrify all homes and connect communities to form clean, resilient virtual power plants. We just announced our $230MM Series D financing round led by B Capital and Prelude Ventures and are excited about the opportunities this will unlock. We strive to build a collaborative, enriching environment conducive to personal, technical, and career growth. You can expect to work in a dynamic and collaborative environment, driven by first principles engineering, solving difficult problems. Lunar is looking for a self-starting intern to strengthen the GTM team of our software(-enabled) division, Gridshare. This role is a unique opportunity for an individual with a strategic and analytical mindset combined with commercial 'hustler' DNA. Reporting to the Director of Business Development & Partnerships You will be stepping into an exciting market entry challenge, playing a key role in scoping new business models for the company. You must be comfortable operating in ambiguity—excited to chart a course where one doesn't yet exist. Ideal candidates will have a foundational understanding of the energy-tech or utility landscape, or demonstrate a clear ability and willingness to learn fast (High Slope). Your work will involve leveraging strong analytical skills to interpret market data and working closely with cross-functional teams to drive commercial change.

Requirements

  • High Slope: You learn fast. You don't need a manual; you need a goal, tools, and the internet.
  • Detail-Obsessed: You are the person who spots the typo in the menu. In Ops and Events, small details make the difference between success and disaster.
  • Grit: You are willing to do the unglamorous work because you understand how it powers the bigger picture.
  • Analytically Minded: You are comfortable in Sheets/Excel and aren't afraid of pivot tables.
  • AI-native: You have been trying your hand at automating workflows or analysis with AI and coding agents.
  • Demonstrated interest in the energy technology sector, with a willingness to rapidly gain expertise in battery storage, VPPs, and DER management.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a collaborative mindset, capable of influencing commercial, product, operations and executive teams.
  • Self-starter with a bias for action, who thrives in a fast-paced, ambiguous startup environment, and is comfortable building from scratch.
  • Proven problem-solving skills and meticulous attention to detail.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior CRM Exposure (Hubspot)
  • Knowledge of US utilities, electricity markets and VPPs
  • Leadership / Marketing / Conferences / Event Experience
  • Public Speaking Confidence

Responsibilities

  • You will build the foundation for our outbound engagement. This means researching key accounts, identifying decision-makers, and mapping their tech stacks so we can engage with precision.
  • You will, in collaboration with the marketing and product departments, audit and organize our collateral library. You will ensure that when a team member needs a case study or a specific slide, they can find it in 30 seconds, not 30 minutes.
  • You will inform the GTM strategy through market and competitive analysis and synthesizing market intelligence
  • You will be the Operational Lead for a major industry conference.
  • Ultimately, your work will directly enable our sales and business development teams to open new customer dialogues and drive revenue.
