About The Position

We are seeking a technically oriented GTM Engineer to help design, build, and operate the systems that power Axial’s go-to-market function. Reporting to Axial’s Business Operations Lead, this role sits within the Business Operations team and operates at the intersection of BizOps, GTM, and Product. The focus of the role is to apply technical skills to automate workflows, integrate systems, and create leverage across GTM operations. This is a hands-on, technical operations role rather than a traditional software engineering position. You will work deeply within Axial’s systems, including our GTM technology stack, workflow orchestration platforms, data pipelines, and emerging AI and agentic technologies, to automate workflows, reduce manual effort, and improve how internal teams and platform members operate day-to-day. The initial focus of the role will be owning and evolving AI-powered and automated systems across Axial’s member lifecycle. This includes building workflows to support member qualification and verification, automating portions of member support, enabling SDR-style outreach, improving chat-based experiences, and reducing the need for manual CRM updates by GTM teams. You will evaluate our current tech stack, configure and integrate systems, and ship production-grade automations that interact directly with internal teams and members. This role is best suited for someone comfortable owning systems end-to-end, operating across both build and run responsibilities, and applying technical skills in a business context. You should care deeply about data quality, reliability, and user experience, and take pride in building durable systems that materially improve how the company operates.

Requirements

  • Experience: 3-6 years of professional experience in BizOps, Engineering, RevOps, SalesOps, GTM Engineering or a related role at a high-growth technology company or startup.
  • Automation and Systems Building: Hands-on experience designing and building workflow automations using tools such as n8n, Clay, Zapier, Google Apps Script, or similar platforms. Experience building custom internal tools and applications using platforms such as Superblocks to support operational and GTM workflows
  • GTM Systems Experience: Experience working within Salesforce and related GTM systems such as HubSpot, Outreach, Gong, or similar tools. Experience with system configuration, integrations, and data hygiene beyond basic administration.
  • Technical Proficiency: Ability to write and maintain code or scripts to support automation and systems integration, such as JavaScript, SQL, Python, or Apps Script, including effectively leveraging AI assisted development tools. Comfortable working with APIs, webhooks, and structured data.
  • Data and Analytics: Strong comfort working with operational data to support reporting, analytics, and decision making. Ability to reason about data quality and translate business questions into reliable reporting or automated insights.
  • Ownership and Execution: Demonstrated ability to own projects end to end, operate with ambiguity, and balance speed with reliability. High integrity, detail oriented, and deeply accountable for outcomes, with a bias toward building durable systems that others rely on.
  • Communication and Collaboration: Clear written and verbal communicator who works effectively with technical and non-technical partners across GTM, Business Operations, and Product.

Nice To Haves

  • Working knowledge of SQL is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • AI and Agentic Systems Development: Design, build, and operate AI-powered and agentic systems that automate core GTM and member-facing workflows. This includes developing production-grade automations to support inbound lead handling, member qualification and verification, SDR-style outreach, member support workflows, and CRM updates. Ensure these systems are reliable, well-monitored, and deliver measurable business impact.
  • Workflow Orchestration and Automation: Build and maintain workflow automations across Axial’s GTM technology stack using tools such as n8n, Clay, Zapier, Google Apps Script, and custom code. Translate business logic into scalable, multi-system workflows that reduce manual effort and enforce consistency.
  • Internal Tools and Lightweight Product Development: Design and build custom internal tools and lightweight product surfaces that support GTM and member operations. Use platforms such as Superblocks to create reliable applications that interact with core systems and improve operational efficiency.
  • Data Infrastructure for AI and Automation: Help design and maintain the data foundations required for AI-driven and automated workflows. Ensure GTM data is accurate, structured, and accessible for use in automation, decision logic, and agentic systems.
  • GTM Systems: Work within Axial’s core GTM systems to configure workflows, manage integrations, troubleshoot issues, and ensure system stability and data integrity.
  • Strategic Projects and Experimentation: Lead exploratory projects focused on new tools, architectures, and automation opportunities. Prototype quickly and transition successful work into stable, production systems.
  • Cross Functional Partnership: Partner closely with Business Operations, GTM, Product and Engineering teams to translate real world workflows into technical solutions that are adopted and used effectively.
