About The Position

We are looking for a GSOC Critical Events Analyst to join Netflix’s Global Security Operations Center (GSOC) team with a dedicated focus on critical events. In this role, you will manage the end-to-end lifecycle of major incidents, including natural disasters, significant accidents, severe weather, and emerging global threats while assessing their impact on Netflix offices, employees, productions, and travelers. You will conduct real-time threat monitoring, triage critical alerts, and oversee all Everbridge-driven notifications and communications to ensure timely, accurate information reaches the right audiences. Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in corporate intelligence, global security operations, or related fields.
  • Bachelor’s degree in International Relations, Security Studies, or related fields.
  • Advanced proficiency with Everbridge and its associated workflow tools.
  • Advanced proficiency in social media platforms, online research tools, productivity software, and communication technologies.
  • Advanced writing skills to craft precise, effective, and context-appropriate Everbridge alerts centered on the target audience.
  • Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
  • Proven capacity to work effectively both independently with minimal oversight and collaboratively within a team.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and strong reading comprehension.

Nice To Haves

  • Multilingual skills are highly desirable.
  • Experience with data visualization platforms is an advantage.
  • Background in the entertainment or technology industry is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor real-time global events and emerging risks using GSOC platforms, with primary emphasis on Everbridge.
  • Apply established reporting protocols to assess incident reportability, categorize severity, and escalate as appropriate.
  • Create, update, and close incident records in a timely and accurate manner, ensuring clear communication to all relevant stakeholders.
  • Participate in team meetings to align on requirements, priorities, and operational needs.
  • Provide timely follow-up and status updates to requesting individuals and key stakeholders.
  • Develop Intelligence Insight Reports by researching and analyzing risk trends to support informed decision-making.
  • Activate, coordinate, and support Incident Management Teams during crisis management calls.
  • Contribute to operational briefings, GSOC reporting output, and data/metrics tracking efforts.
  • Conduct social media monitoring and analysis to identify emerging issues, trends, or potential impacts to Netflix’s people, operations, and assets.
  • Deliver intelligence support across key security functions, including Travel Risk Management, Security Operations, and Executive Protection.
  • Provide risk intelligence support for crisis management, enterprise risk management, and geopolitical risk assessments.
  • Produce clear and actionable reports, briefings, and presentations to help reduce uncertainty and address priority intelligence requirements.
