The General Services Employee III performs manual work primarily of a semi-skilled nature but includes some skilled duties of moderate complexity. Work of this class involves performance of manual tasks of a nature requiring a considerable degree of skills or special knowledge. Assignments may include the use of standard or specialized hand tools, power operated devices, some of the tools of certain skilled trades and other equipment. Assignments may also include the occasional operation of trucks and other automotive or construction equipment incidental to regular duties. Work is normally performed under the direct supervision of a foreman or journeyman level craftsman who issues general or specific orders depending on the assignment.
