About The Position

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: Responsible for accuracy and upkeep of storeroom and associated inventories and proper identification, labeling, and storage of optical materials. The receipt, storage, and delivery of functions of optical materials, work-in-process, and finished goods are completed in a timely and accurate fashion. All sales orders requiring parts from coated stock are filled quickly, moved to the proper location, and necessary inventory transactions are performed accurately. Inventory items are properly identified, labeled, and stored in the appropriate location. All work orders are filled, issued, and material is delivered to the appropriate area. Assure orderly and effective use of stockroom inventory including substituting existing blanks where appropriate. Organize and responsible for monthly physical inventory audits and yearly cycle counts. Cycle count accuracy of >= 99% is maintained. Parts coming from Asia are received into the storeroom, and necessary computer transactions are made on a timely basis. Uncoated parts needed for orders are promptly issued to the shopfloor. Parts are moved from QA to Storeroom on a timely basis, and necessary computer transactions are performed. Package and ship sales orders, special products, documents, and materials, following packaging and shipping procedures and instructions. Verify counts, descriptions, serial numbers, country or origin and labeling. Work with QA if labels or parts are incorrect Communication with the sales team if orders do not have correct information or missing information. Stock inventory and maintain adequate levels of shipping supplies. Complete other duties assigned by the supervisor. JOB REQUIREMENTS: Education: High School Graduate Experience: At least 2 years of clerical stockroom or warehouse experience in a company that utilizes an MRP or ERP system Well-developed organizational and detail-oriented skills Knowledge of infrared material specifications Detailed understanding of optical fabrication processes is preferred Computer data entry skills Ability to work with minimal supervision and adjust to daily work requirements Excellent customer service skills Excellent verbal and written communication skills Must be both team-oriented and self-motivated Proficient math skills Able to handle diverse, high volume, detailed tasks with minimal supervision WORKING CONDITIONS: Time will be spent in the Storeroom and Shipping. Must be physically capable of lifting/moving up to 50 lbs. Must have a high degree of flexibility and proficiency while working on many tasks in parallel; must be able to successfully manage requests and tasks for both internal customers and external service providers.
