Growth Manager

InnovamatLos Angeles, CA
11h$90,000 - $110,000

About The Position

Innovamat is transforming K–8 math education across the U.S. and beyond — and we’re just getting started. We’re a leading global EdTech startup, with 300+ teammates across 10 countries, scaling fast and building from the ground up in the U.S. Our research-backed curriculum, intervention programs, and adaptive technology are already trusted by 27,000+ teachers in 2,600+ schools worldwide, and our momentum is accelerating. Backed by world-class thinkers like Peter Liljedahl (Building Thinking Classrooms), Innovamat sits at the intersection of learning science, product, and execution. We move quickly, test boldly, and care deeply about impact. If you like environments where ideas turn into action — and action turns into results — you’ll feel at home here. We believe math should be joyful, meaningful, and transformational — not rote memorization or worksheets. We partner closely with districts and teachers to reimagine what math classrooms can be. This is not a traditional sales role. It’s a chance to join a high-growth startup, take real ownership, and build a career with no ceiling. The impact you make here will be visible, measurable, and directly tied to how far you want to go. We’re looking for a Growth Manager to fuel our U.S. expansion in California. This role is for people who: Thrive on prospecting and opening doors. Want to build in ambiguity, not step into a polished machine. Are competitive, resilient, and love the hustle of sales. You’ll own relationships with district leaders, lead consultative first meetings, and partner with senior leaders and math experts to close transformational deals. Success here isn’t about maintaining accounts — it’s about hunting, building pipeline, and driving new revenue.

Requirements

  • Sales experience (ideally in education, especially California) OR a proven track record of grit, resilience, and performance in another fast paced environment (e.g. investment banking, consulting, private equity, engineering, operations, or early-stage startups).
  • Competitive drive: rejection fuels you.
  • Relationship-builder instinct and curiosity about people.
  • Entrepreneurial energy: you thrive on travel, growth, and big goals.
  • Curiosity about education — willing to learn pedagogy while selling.
  • Comfort with ambiguity and a “blank-page” mindset.
  • Willingness to travel ~50%.

Responsibilities

  • Prospect relentlessly: Generate new district relationships through outbound outreach, creative approaches, and local presence.
  • Run first meetings: Lead consultative conversations that uncover needs and spark excitement about a new approach to math.
  • Team up to close: Partner with senior sales leaders and Math Success Managers to deliver demos and secure partnerships.
  • Show up everywhere: Represent Innovamat at conferences, host local events, and expand visibility in your territory.
  • Own your number: Build and execute a personal plan to exceed your goals.

Benefits

  • Impact: Transform how thousands of students learn math. Be part of our early-stage expansion team in the US that is on track to be the industry leader!
  • Growth: No ceiling — your career scales with your results.
  • Movement: More than a job — be part of an education transformation.
  • Team: Join passionate, mission-driven colleagues.
  • Compensation: Competitive package $90K - $110K base salary ($150K+ OTE) + 5% 401k match.
  • Benefits: Comprehensive health, dental & vision coverage; company-provided laptop and phone; all travel expenses covered; generous PTO (22+ days) plus an additional company-wide holiday shutdown week during Christmas
