Growth Engineer (Developer & Enterprise GTM)

Tavus•San Francisco, CA

About The Position

Tavus is sitting on one of the most technically remarkable and visually compelling platforms in AI. The problem isn't the product. It's that most developers and enterprise buyers haven't seen what it's actually capable of. That's your job. We're looking for a Growth Engineer who sits at the intersection of code, creativity, and go-to-market. Someone who can spin up a stunning interactive demo, ship a viral developer tool, design a campaign asset that looks like it came out of a world-class creative studio, and do all three in the same week. You have genuine taste and the technical range to execute on it without asking for help. This role sits in Growth Marketing and touches every part of how developers discover, evaluate, and fall in love with the Tavus API, and how enterprise buyers experience the platform for the first time.

Requirements

  • 3 to 5 years of experience across some combination of developer relations, growth engineering, GTM engineering, or technical marketing at a developer-first or API-driven company.
  • You can write clean code and ship real things. Proficiency in JavaScript, Python, or TypeScript is expected. You've built and deployed projects people actually use.
  • You have taste. You care about how things look, feel, and land. Your demos are polished. Your landing pages don't look like templates. Your writing doesn't sound like it came from a brief.
  • Deep comfort with AI tools and code gen: you use them to move faster and produce better output, not as a crutch.
  • You understand what developers care about and how they evaluate tools. You've been in those communities, probably as a builder yourself.
  • Experience creating content that drives organic growth in technical audiences: GitHub repos, tutorials, demos, or integrations that spread because they're genuinely good.
  • Enough design sensibility to produce high-quality visual assets independently, whether in Figma, with component libraries, or through generative tools.
  • Strong written communication. You can explain a complex API clearly, write a launch post that gets shared, and craft a demo narrative that makes someone want to build.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience as a founder, or startup building experience
  • Played Portal 1 and 2 - or willing to as part of onboarding 😄

Responsibilities

  • Build high-converting developer-facing experiences: interactive demos, sandboxes, starter kits, and code samples that show what Tavus can do in minutes, not weeks.
  • Design and ship GTM assets with real aesthetic sensibility: landing pages, launch campaigns, product showcases, and visual explainers that reflect the quality of the underlying technology.
  • Create and distribute technical content that earns attention in developer communities: tutorials, open-source projects, API showcases, and integrations that drive organic discovery and word of mouth.
  • Prototype and launch growth experiments independently using AI tools, code gen, and no-code platforms. You don't wait on engineering.
  • Build internal GTM tooling and automation that makes the sales, marketing, and developer success teams meaningfully faster.
  • Partner with Product and Engineering on launches, translating new capabilities (Phoenix-4, Raven-1, CVI) into compelling developer narratives and hands-on experiences.
  • Engage directly with the developer community: be a credible, visible, and genuinely useful presence across forums, social, events, and wherever builders spend their time.

Benefits

  • flexible work schedule
  • unlimited PTO
  • competitive healthcare
  • gear stipends
