About The Position

The Group Technology Manager for Technology Delivery Quality Assurance & Risk Governance is a strategic, hands-on IT leader responsible for overseeing the Technology Delivery Quality Assurance and Risk Governance team within Platform Services. This leader drives technology governance, issues management, and compliance activities across the organization, ensuring robust risk mitigation, adherence to regulatory and internal standards, and continuous improvement of service capabilities. The role requires a broad understanding of technology delivery, governance frameworks, compliance requirements, and issues management processes, with a focus on enabling business outcomes through effective controls and proactive risk management.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree and fifteen to twenty years related experience or equivalent combination.
  • Excellent knowledge of technical management and data governance.
  • Knowledge of current trends in IT hardware and systems software field.
  • Database management skills with the ability to produce reports.
  • Familiarity with the support and troubleshooting of personal computers and tablet devices.
  • Analyze situations, evaluate alternatives, and implement robust solutions
  • Interpret guidelines and analyze information to adapt or modify processes in response to changing circumstances.
  • Duties may require non-routine analysis, research and follow-through
  • The position requires strong problem solving and analytical skills with the ability to work independently and exercise sound judgment

Responsibilities

  • Defines procedures and controls for technology governance adherence, ensuring all technology delivery aligns with regulatory and internal standards.
  • Establishes and publishes metrics related to technology governance and compliance, providing transparency and accountability through dashboards and regular reporting.
  • Maintains service level monitoring and compliance dashboards to track performance, identify trends, and drive continuous improvement.
  • Lead the development and management of enterprise training programs related to technology governance, TDLC, ITAM, compliance, and issues management, ensuring staff are equipped with up-to-date knowledge and skills.
  • Oversee compliance with controls, including testing, evidence collection, reporting, and remediation of non-compliance.
  • Responsible for establishing the vision and strategy for technology governance, compliance, and issues management, aligning with organizational goals and risk appetite.
  • Leads issues management support functions for Platform Services, including identification, escalation, mitigation, and burn down of technology risks and compliance issues.
  • Constantly analyzes different technologies and vendors for new or better alternatives, ensuring the organization leverages best-in-class solutions for governance and compliance.
  • Provides continuous improvements of service capabilities through efficiencies and optimization, focusing on fast, easy, and cost-effective solutions.
  • Responsible for the identification, development, and communication of new technology standards and best practices as appropriate.
  • Maintains systems documentation such as IT operations manuals, compliance records, and governance frameworks.
  • Partners with internal and external stakeholders to drive a culture of compliance, risk awareness, and proactive issue resolution.
  • Manages vendor relationships and contracts related to governance, compliance, and quality assurance initiatives.
  • Supports audit and regulatory examinations for Platform Services, ensuring timely and accurate responses to findings and recommendations.
  • Leads special projects and initiatives to enhance the organization’s compliance posture and risk management capabilities.
