Requirements

  • Valid Driver’s License required
  • Ability to work a regular schedule of Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM–5:00 PM, with flexibility to adjust hours for meetings, travel, trade shows, or onsite events as needed
  • Must be able work on-site in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina
  • Prior hospitality management or sales experience required; resort or hotel sales experience strongly preferred
  • Knowledge of hospitality operations, PMS and CRM systems, and financial management tools
  • Proficiency with general office equipment and PC applications (i.e. multi-function copiers, word processing, spreadsheets, databases, email, remote desktop connections)
  • Highly reliable, organized, detail-oriented, and dedicated to delivering results
  • Demonstrated ability to build client networks, overcome objections, close sales, and follow up effectively
  • Committed to guest satisfaction through exceptional customer service and a strong client focus
  • Clear, professional written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong multitasking, prioritization, and teamwork abilities
  • Personable, collaborative, and comfortable working with diverse individuals

  • Event sales experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Represent our stunning resorts and the Myrtle Beach area to organizations, sports teams, and event planners, positioning the city as a top-tier destination
  • Develop and execute creative sales strategies through trade shows, marketing campaigns, sales calls, and industry networking
  • Maintains a working knowledge of all available facilities, event amenities, attractions, and services in the area, both public and private, to effectively educate prospective clients and acts as liaison between these entities and the client. Creates client familiarization trips, as needed, to present Resorts capabilities
  • Cultivate strong, long-term partnerships with clients to encourage repeat and referral business.
  • Prepares proposals, contracts, group resumes and any other documentation deemed necessary
  • Addresses and resolves any issues or complaints regarding the sales process
  • Responsible for generating and maintaining all group contacts for all business booked and turned down Must also have the ability to capture and enter all leads in the CRM
  • Clearly communicates group needs to the properties to ensure they are prepared to meet them
  • Maintains weekly and monthly sales productivity statistics and prepares individual reports for the Director of Group Sales
  • Collaborate with all corporate departments (e.g., Revenue Management, Call Center, IT) and property operations teams (e.g., Front Desk, Accounting, Food & Beverage, Rooms Manager, General Manager) as needed to support departmental goals and ensure smooth communication and execution
  • Other duties as assigned
