The Group Sales Manager is responsible for effectively soliciting new viable accounts as well as penetrating and growing market share in his/her territories. He/She is also responsible for strategic prospecting and closing on to positively impact hotel revenues for the property.

  • 2+ Years’ experience in group sales in a luxury property

Responsibilities

  • Perform all general administrative duties for the office such as, answering phones and emails. Courier packages, fed ex and mail is distributed as well as collateral shipped.
  • Collaborate on all travel schedules, hotel and air reservations. Ensure travel calendars are updated.
  • Provide receipts and complete monthly expense reports.
  • Ensures sales presentations are uploaded on IPADS and up to date with latest collateral.
  • Analyze data (i.e. hoteligence/Knowland), qualify, and perform targeted prospecting for new business.
  • Work with key contacts to ensure that Faena has appropriate time/representation with key decision makers.
  • Attend appropriate organizational meetings as representative for Faena.
  • Willing to travel often to key markets to meet with existing and potential customers with upcoming group RFPs.
  • Attend appropriate industry tradeshows as a Sales representative and brand ambassador for Faena.
  • Practice total account management by harvesting RFPs & group business from all qualified accounts.
  • Uncover referrals & leads by way of relationships with accounts.
  • Conduct local outreach for crossover to Groups, Meetings, Special Events and Opportunities.
  • Attend domestic and international i.e. Canada tradeshows for networking and exposure purposes.
  • Organize and conduct qualified familiarization trips.
  • Answer/facilitate all incoming leads in a timely fashion.
  • Maintain accurate and thorough notes/traces in Delphi.
  • Client follow up, post departure, with focus on program and business retention.
  • Maintain focus on future booking pace from established and potential accounts.
  • Consistently seek to maximize full potential of partnership with all client accounts.
  • Assist with the development and maintenance of quarterly action plans.
  • Create and maintain quarterly snapshot as well as write a quarterly summary.
  • Register for trade shows.
  • Maintain group log for all inquiries that come through you or the Business Development Director.
  • Formulate action plans that target specific high revenue generating industries/companies within their territory.
  • Manage database by inputting all contact information and client profile i.e. Full Name, Company Title, SIC code, Market Segment. Identify “Parent Company” and indicate partnership i.e. Incentive House, Leading Hotels of the World etc.
  • Pull Databases for marketing email blasts and visits.
  • Cross reference business cards when returning from sales calls. File business cards accordingly in the Delphi System
  • Run Weekly Reports from Delphi i.e. GRC, Activities etc.
  • Assist with all sales activities; prospect calls, setting up appointments for sales presentations, ordering lunch, restaurant reservations etc.
  • Assist with account evaluations for potential corporate accounts to indicate potential volume, location etc.
  • Collect thorough intelligence such as the rates at competitive hotels, committed room nights etc.
  • Most be proficient with CVENT, Starcite and other major group RFP channels.
  • Retrieve all details for trade shows and sales missions for the following year i.e. market specific and fees. Be proficient in excel to create and maintain budget.
