About The Position

DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel & Suites by the Galleria, located in the upscale Galleria area is looking for an experienced hotel Sales Manager. Job Description: -Direct and indirect solicitation for a combination of several markets, including corporate group. -Conduct persuasive verbal sales presentations to prospective clients for annual, weekday and weekend business. -Maintain client relationships, up-sell products and services, closing the best opportunities for the property based on market conditions and property needs. -Understand combination of market segments, competitors’ strengths and weaknesses, economic trends, supply and demand etc. and sell against them to meet monthly and quarterly goals. -Conduct property tours and promote facilities and services. -Create banquet event orders, write contracts and service events in relation to a range market segments.

Requirements

  • At least three (2) years of previous hotel sales manager experience required
  • Familiar with Houston/Galleria area highly preferred
  • Delphi/Sales Force experience highly preferred
  • Strong ability to multitask and perform required sales administrative duties
  • Extensive knowledge of Food and Beverage etiquette, guest relations and service standards.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to assess client needs, negotiate pricing, effectively deal with internal and external guests and provide overall guest satisfaction
