THE ROLE: As Group Sales Manager, you will play a pivotal role in driving group revenue through thoughtful strategy, meaningful client relationships, and an unwavering commitment to excellence. You will represent the Park Hyatt Chicago brand with integrity, confidence, and a deep understanding of luxury hospitality-delivering curated experiences that reflect the refined elegance our guests expect. This role is ideal for a seasoned sales professional who thrives in a fast-paced, high-touch environment and is inspired by building long-term partnerships with corporate clients, event planners, and group organizers.

Requirements

  • Experience: 2-5 years of experience in group sales within the luxury hospitality industry, preferably with a globally recognized brand or five-star property.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business, or a related field preferred; additional certifications in sales or revenue management are a plus.
  • Sales Leadership: Proven ability to develop strategic sales plans, cultivate high-value client relationships, and drive consistent revenue growth through proactive engagement.
  • Client-Centric Focus: Unwavering dedication to delivering personalized, detail-oriented service that exceeds the expectations of luxury group and corporate clients.
  • Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present with confidence, negotiate effectively, and collaborate cross-functionally.
  • Organizational Skills: Expertise in managing multiple leads, contracts, and timelines with precision, ensuring seamless client experiences from inquiry to execution.
  • Business Acumen: Strong understanding of group pricing, forecasting, and revenue strategy, with proficiency in Microsoft Office, Envision, or similar sales platforms.
  • Luxury Brand Standards: Commitment to upholding the highest standards of hospitality, aligned with the refined and elevated experience that defines the Park Hyatt brand.
  • Problem-Solving: Resourceful and solution-oriented, able to navigate challenges gracefully while maintaining the integrity of the client and guest experience.
  • Flexibility: Availability to support site visits, client events, and internal planning meetings outside of standard hours as needed to ensure success.
  • Passion for Sales & Hospitality: Genuine enthusiasm for luxury travel, sales strategy, and service excellence, with a drive to represent Park Hyatt Chicago at the highest level.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute innovative sales strategies to achieve and exceed group revenue goals.
  • Identify, qualify, and cultivate new business opportunities through proactive outreach, strategic networking, and industry events.
  • Foster strong, ongoing relationships with existing clients, promoting loyalty and repeat business through exceptional service and tailored solutions.
  • Collaborate closely with the Director of Sales, Events & Marketing and the Director of Revenue Management to develop impactful pricing strategies and customized packages.
  • Deliver compelling presentations and proposals that highlight Park Hyatt Chicago's distinct offerings, luxury accommodations, and bespoke service.
  • Partner with hotel departments to ensure the flawless planning and execution of group events, ensuring each touchpoint aligns with our brand standards.
  • Stay informed on market trends, competitive landscape, and emerging opportunities to position Park Hyatt Chicago as the premier choice for luxury group experiences.
