About The Position

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Provide exceptional guest service to all customers. Account prospecting to create sales opportunities. Negotiating and closing sales as they relate to customer use of event and meeting space, guest rooms, and other resort amenities and activities. Plan and coordinate all events. Manage events as they take place to ensure flawless execution of customer expectations. This will include serving as primary contact and liaison between the customer, Red Hawk Resort + Casino departments, and vendors. Follow up with site visits to existing corporate clients to help sell future business. Prepare written correspondence to guests. Enter data and reservations into appropriate systems. Set up new client files and maintain files for sales functions. Prepare billing and final event details for booked groups and events. Provide familiarization tours of the property to meeting planners and interested groups. Meet and greet group arrivals as needed. Keep current on all aspects of the resort. Knowledge of banquet menus, set-up arrangements, hotel room rates, occupancy and other resort amenities Produce regular sales-related reports and sales forecasts. Attend and represent resort at trade shows and conventions and participate in sales trips to key feeder markets. Keep all departments informed of bookings and reservations; communicate needs of the clients so all departments are prepared to meet the needs of the client. Assist with calculating monthly revenue number for Group Sales. Assures an environment which emphasizes cooperation, communication and teamwork with all departments Ability to maintain a flexible schedule indicated by business needs, including nights, weekends and holidays. Perform other job-related duties as assigned. Is held accountable for the accuracy and thoroughness of departmental records and reports. Acts as support for any events and promotions or motorcoach projects. Performs all other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High school diploma required.
  • At least five years of high level customer service, marketing and/or sales experience required.
  • Ability to maintain a flexible schedule indicated by business needs, including nights, weekends and holidays.
  • An individual must have the ability to:
  • Effectively perform independently;
  • Utilize a variety of standard computer systems/office productivity software at an intermediate or advanced level (testing required);
  • Effectively resolve problems, based on common sense use of reasoning ability;
  • Manage multiple tasks simultaneously;
  • Work in a very fast paced environment.
