About The Position

Provide accounting and financial leadership and oversight of multiple manufacturing locations through: Ensuring each location is meeting the Company's financial reporting requirements consistently, accurately and on time within the framework of Company policies and procedures and U.S. GAAP Supporting the standardization of financial reporting and internal control processes Supporting process improvement and new systems implementation Conducting required SOX testing and reviews; developing corrective actions where needed and ensuring actions are implemented at the plants Hiring, training and developing new plant controllers Filling in for the plant controller in the event of an unexpected absence Assisting management with business planning and development, operational analysis and continuous improvement initiatives Participating in the review and/or preparing required financial forecasts and annual budgets

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university and 5 - 7 years manufacturing accounting leadership experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and accounting software; experience with manufacturing ERP systems
  • Experience with accounts payable, payroll, and sales / receivable management
  • Experience with standard costing and inventory count management
  • Ability to travel up to 50% of the time

Nice To Haves

  • CMA, CPA, and/or MBA a plus

Responsibilities

  • Review monthly financial reports, account reconciliations, journal entries and other supporting documentation to ensure completeness, accuracy and compliance with accounting policies
  • Develop Excel, Adaptive and PowerPoint files and templates required for process standardization; support the implementation of standardized accounting processes at the plant level
  • Cross train and/or become sufficiently knowledgeable of the plant controller function in order to train new controllers and serve as a temporary back-fill for the position when needed
  • Support standardization and centralization initiatives launched by other functional areas including implementing best practices across plants and ensuring consistent data capture
  • Perform periodic reviews of plant controls, processes and procedures to ensure compliance with both Company policy and good business practices; conduct SOX testing and review activities to ensure compliance with SOX requirements
  • Support the requirements of external auditors and the Company's internal audit department, including the review of the year-end audit package
  • Develop working knowledge of Microsoft NAV ERP system (and future ERP systems) to help users understand the input requirements necessary to ensure accurate output
  • Prepare analysis and ad hoc reporting as required to support the financial and operational decision-making process at the plant, regional, and corporate level
