About The Position

At Lyft, the Product Management team collaborates closely with engineers to guide products from conception to launch and with business partners to generate profitable revenue streams. This role requires exceptional strategic and analytical skills to define strategy and lead execution in a highly cross-functional technological area. The Group Product Manager will bridge technical, business, and operations worlds, designing technologies with engineers, identifying and resolving project roadblocks, and breaking down complex problems to drive product development at Lyft speed. The Matching and Fulfillment group is central to the Lyft marketplace, impacting how riders and drivers experience Lyft through estimating ETAs and fulfillment costs, optimizing driver-rider matches, and ensuring on-time delivery. This group is responsible for dynamically balancing supply and demand to meet the expectations of drivers, riders, and Lyft's objectives. The Group PM will work with most Lyft teams, leading prioritization and alignment on Matching and Fulfillment strategy, and will lead a team of Product Managers. Key responsibilities include designing algorithms to maximize business and user outcomes based on real-time costs, preferences, and elasticities; designing algorithms to estimate optimal ETAs and matching costs across various modes (Standard, Wait & Save, Priority Pickup, etc.); designing algorithms to assign drivers to riders, leveraging passenger waiting time to increase profit and ride conversion; and designing the infrastructure and services to support Matching and Fulfillment across the Rideshare platform.
