About The Position

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES Responsible for the development and implementation of individual youth treatment plans. Oversight for designing and implementing program activities that support the social/emotional treatment plans of the youth being served. Responsible for creation and oversight of daily program schedule. Facilitates evening and therapeutic group meetings. Provides supervision to the youth specialist. All other duties as assigned Prior supervisory experience of staff is a requirement for this position QUALIFICATIONS High School Diploma or GED required, Bachelor’s Degree preferred A minimum of two years residential child care experience serving an at-risk adolescent population. This position requires successful completion of Safety Crisis Management (SCM) training, which includes a written test and demonstration of the competency to perform physical restraints, as specified by the program and regulatory body. Additionally, staff must successfully complete all required SCM refreshers in order to maintain continued employment. Possess a great desire to positively influence the lives of others. Strong leadership, communication and organizational skills are necessary. Ability to work Tuesday thru Saturday and/or Sunday thru Thursday with evening shifts up to 9:00pm as required. A valid driver’s license from NY, NJ or CT required. RELATIONSHIP WITH OTHERS Must be a team player. Have a strong sensitivity to cultural differences, including sexual orientation and identity, present among staff and clients within our organization. Possess a strong belief in people’s ability to grow and change; forge a mutually respectful partnership with persons served and their families. Ability to set limits and maintain helping role of practitioner and to intervene appropriately. SCOPE OF RESPONSIBILITY Participate in staff and/or team meetings. Complete Safe Crisis Management training and refreshers. WORKING CONDITIONS A residential setting working with juveniles. Employee must be able to work effectively and efficiently within a demanding work environment.

Requirements
