About The Position

The Production Group Leader is responsible for operating equipment and performing machine set-ups as needed, overseeing daily operations within the production area to ensure safety, quality, and efficiency standards are met. This role leads a team of production associates, coordinates workflow, and drives continuous improvement initiatives to meet organizational goals.

Requirements

High School or equivalent required
Mechanical aptitude, basic math, computer use, forklift experience.
High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree a plus.
3+ years of experience in a manufacturing or production environment, at least 1 year in a leadership role a strong plus.
Strong knowledge of production processes, safety standards, and quality systems.
Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
Must be able to lift 50 lbs. and able to stand for long periods of time.
Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment with exposure to noise and machinery.

Nice To Haves

Responsibilities

Performs production tasks such as working on the production floor as needed, helping with machine set-ups, planning, equipment maintenance, and troubleshooting
Direct and support production team members to achieve daily targets.
Foster a positive work environment focused on teamwork, accountability, and safety.
Monitor production schedules and adjust resources to meet deadlines.
Ensure compliance with quality standards and operational procedures.
Enforce safety protocols and conduct regular safety audits.
Address and report any safety concerns promptly.
Identify process inefficiencies and implement improvements.
Support lean manufacturing and cost-reduction initiatives.
Maintain accurate production records and report key metrics.
Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams (maintenance, quality, logistics).
