About The Position

The Production Group Leader is responsible for operating equipment and performing machine set-ups as needed, overseeing daily operations within the production area to ensure safety, quality, and efficiency standards are met. This role leads a team of production associates, coordinates workflow, and drives continuous improvement initiatives to meet organizational goals.

Requirements

  • High School or equivalent required
  • Mechanical aptitude, basic math, computer use, forklift experience.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree a plus.
  • 3+ years of experience in a manufacturing or production environment, at least 1 year in a leadership role a strong plus.
  • Strong knowledge of production processes, safety standards, and quality systems.
  • Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

  • Performs production tasks such as working on the production floor as needed, helping with machine set-ups, planning, equipment maintenance, and troubleshooting
  • Leadership & Supervision: Direct and support production team members to achieve daily targets. Foster a positive work environment focused on teamwork, accountability, and safety.
  • Production Management: Monitor production schedules and adjust resources to meet deadlines. Ensure compliance with quality standards and operational procedures.
  • Safety & Compliance: Enforce safety protocols and conduct regular safety audits. Address and report any safety concerns promptly.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify process inefficiencies and implement improvements. Support lean manufacturing and cost-reduction initiatives.
  • Communication & Reporting: Maintain accurate production records and report key metrics. Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams (maintenance, quality, logistics).
