About The Position

Provides daily direction, training, and coaching to Material Handlers within the assigned area. Ensures a continuous and accurate supply of componentry and materials to packaging lines to support efficient packaging operations. Assists in maintaining a clean, organized work environment in accordance with PPGs and 5S principles. Performs all duties in compliance with applicable PPGs, safety requirements, OSHA regulations, and cGMP standards to ensure product quality, integrity, and employee safety. May be required to handle, transfer, and label hazardous waste in accordance with EPA regulations.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Forklift certification required
  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience in a production environment
  • Proficiency with forklifts, pallet jacks, automatic pallet stretch wrappers, calculators, and basic computer navigation

Responsibilities

  • Provides daily direction to Material Handlers within the assigned area
  • Trains and coaches Material Handlers to ensure proper performance and compliance
  • Completes operator check-off lists at the start of each shift
  • Ensures forklift certifications are valid and equipment is used safely
  • Reports equipment malfunctions using established procedures
  • Removes componentry from completed orders unless approved for use on the next order
  • Counts and verifies componentry quantities prior to line use and upon return
  • Identifies correct packaging components and lot numbers and stages materials at packaging lines
  • Keeps product and cap hoppers filled where applicable
  • Completes accurate, legible documentation including batch records, logbooks, and cleanup sheets
  • Maintains proper product separation and pallet identification using correct pallet tickets
  • Packs finished goods on pallets following established pallet patterns when required
  • Maintains First-In/First-Out (FIFO) inventory practices
  • Monitors packaging line status to ensure adequate material supply while minimizing returns
  • Reports all accidents, incidents, near misses, and potential hazards immediately
  • Completes FN-11 documentation when applicable
  • Performs other duties as assigned by the Supervisor
  • Completes all required training related to PPGs, batch documentation, safety, and cGMPs
  • Assists with training and serves as a resource for new or less experienced employees
