About The Position

SFS is seeking a Group Leader in our Machining Department at our Medina, OH location to join our team. Requirements

High School Diploma required, associate’s degree preferred
2-5 years leading a team, in a manufacturing environment preferred
Ability to lift up to 60 lbs. on a regular basis
Knowledge of OSHA regulations
Ability to become forklift certified
Ability to stand for extended periods of time

Responsibilities

Hands on leadership of small team of machine operators to productivity excellence
Ensure inventory accuracy through proper material handling, documentation, and cycle counts
Lead with safety in all aspects of machinery operation
Hiring, training, and retaining employees
Inspect parts and follow SFS inspection processes for quality
Support predictive and preventative maintenance process
Prevents and detects potential quality problems by following the QES (Quality, Environmental, Safety) standards
Actively participate in Continuous Improvement Process (CIP)
Data entry of SAP transactions for meeting daily production goals
Administrative tasks as required- reporting, time keeping, hiring and disciplinary documentation, processing timecards, etc.
Program PMC controls
Cleaning machinery, workstation, and other duties as assigned
